The local business community has come together once again to support the 2015 Hull and East Riding Disability Sports Awards.
The inaugural awards were held earlier this year and proved to be a big success with over 200 people turning out to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of those involved in local disability sport.
Over a dozen local businesses have pledged their backing to the event which will be jointly sponsored by Yorkshire Staffing Services and Neil Hudgell Solicitors and held on Friday 27th February 2015 at the KC Stadium.
Hull is one of only three cities in the UK which holds its own Disability Sports awards and as well as celebrating the achievements of disabled sports athletes, the evening also offers a chance to pay tribute to the ‘unsung heroes’ who help to make the disability sports community in Hull so strong.
There are 14 awards up for grabs on the night with the winners being selected by the public via an open vote.
Nominations can be made by emailing the name, chosen sport/team and contact details of the person you’re nominating to awards@wheelchairsportshull.co.uk . Don’t forget to include your name and contact details, as well as a brief summary on why you think the person you’re nominating deserves to win that particular award.
Voting opens on Friday 24th October and closes on 11th December.
Tickets for the evening are priced at £30 adults and £22.50 concessions and can be purchased via email at wheelsporthull@hotmail.co.uk and also online at http://www.eventbrite.co.uk
